Horse, Rider, & Handler Safety Tip: Always check your towing vehicle and trailer before loading your horse. You wouldn't get on an airplane without knowing it had been thoroughly checked and was safe to fly, why would you load your horse and drive down the road without knowing everything was in working order?

I have had the pleasure of being a Public Relations Director on many events; including, but not limited to: Colorado State Games, a 33 sport event over 2 counties, U.S. Open Tae Kwon Do Championships, an event involving over 10 countries, U.S. Tae Kwon Do Federation as the Marketing Manager for the U.S. Nationals, Jr. Olympic Championships and Olympic Trials, Desert Storm Rally & Celebrity Golf Tournament, I have had a great deal of experience with volunteers. I realize that all events rely heavily on volunteers to run a smooth operation. This section is geared toward getting, protecting, keeping, and being a volunteer. I am not saying that I guarantee that if you follow my suggestions that you will never have a problem, but you will significantly reduce the risk for problems.
