Horse, Rider, & Handler Safety Tip: Always check your towing vehicle and trailer before loading your horse. You wouldn't get on an airplane without knowing it had been thoroughly checked and was safe to fly, why would you load your horse and drive down the road without knowing everything was in working order?

  1. Sit down and Make a List of requirements for you and your horse.
  2. Compile a list of stables in the area.
  3. Call them and determine if they meet most of your needs.
  4. Get directions and go and visit them during the normal times you would be riding.
  5. Ask what the standard care package is and what other services are available.
  6. Talk with present and/or pass boarders on their experience.
